Showcase has yet to cancel or renew Continuum for Season 4. Continuum has become more serialized over time, raising the renewal stakes for a story which creator Simon Barry believes can span a decade. A Season 4 renewal would see Syfy acquire rights to air the season in the US. Watch this space!
CONTINUUM CANCEL/RENEW UPDATES
- December 14 – Simon Barry hints at the possibility of a Continuum spin-off series to “continue the political-social discussion” beyond the fourth and final season of the mothership.
- December 10 – Simon Barry opens about about the final season and how the abbreviated run impacts his original plans for the ending.
- December 9 – Simon Barry expresses gratitude at getting the chance to end the series on his own terms, relatively speaking.
- December 8 – Showcase renews Continuum for six-episode fourth and final season.
- December 2 – Series creator Simon Barry posts a binary message which points to December 2014 being the new deadline for the Continuum Season 4 renewal decision.
- November 30 – UK renews Continuum for Season 3, but still no word from Showcase on Season 4.
- November 14 – Simon Barry hints that Continuum‘s Season 4 fate will finally be known by November 30.
- November 13 – The official Continuum Twitter refutes erroneous reports that production has begun on Season 4:

- September 28 – Syfy unlikely to save Continuum if it’s cancelled by Showcase.
- September 5 – Official Continuum Twitter account has this to day about whether it’s the end of Continuum: “Hell no!”.
- August 29 – Still no Continuum renewal news, per Simon Barry, “You know the old saying, ‘No news is… No news.’”
- August 23 – Writer Denis McGrath says Continuum renewal news will arrive “soon“.
- August 21 – Barry confirms Showcase has yet to make a renewal decision over Continuum.
- August 16 – Syfy confirm they’re waiting for Showcase to renew Continuum for Season 4 before any potential announcement of a US pick-up.
- August 4 – Writer-producer Jonathan Lloyd Walker advises fans not to expect Continuum Season 4 news on August 4 due to the Civic holiday:

- July 28 – Continuum Season 4 Renewal Hinted?
- July 18 – Barry confirms Showcase will announce Continuum renewal/cancellation early August.
- July 13 – With the fate of Continuum seemingly in the balance, Barry thanks fans for their support and joins the push for Season 4 renewal.
- June 22 – Season 3 ends on a big cliffhanger set-up for Season 4.
- May 14 – Creator Simon Barry has 7-10 seasons in mind to tell the full Continuum story, while Rachel Nichols confirms story plans for Season 4 are already underway, pre-renewal.
